Hedwig
and the Angry Inch

Hedwig and the Angry Inch tells the story of Transsexual Rocker Hedwig Schmidt, an East German immigrant whose sex change operation has been botched.  Hedwig finds herself alone and angry as she lashes out as a result of her physical and emotional mutilation.  Hedwig also has an overpowering urge to find her "other half" whoever or  whatever that may be.

Hedwig is based on a book by John Cameron and a Rocking musical score by Stephen Trask. It opened  Off-Broadway at the Jane Street Theater in  New York in 1998  and has played numerous cities since including at the Re-Bar in Seattle and is scheduled to open in  Toronto.

It is quickly becomiang a cult classic as a movie is planned.

A must see if you get the chance!!
