truth and the search for it enlightening." - Linda A. Simpson
MOONBAY ORIGINS
Moonbay is a name of my own design. From childhood to adult I have always been facinated by the moon. Full to
crescent waxing to waning I love to go out on a clear night and just lay back and stare at the moon. I get lost in
thought and find the light of the moon illuminating and the contrast in darkness soothing.

I once aspired to be an Astrophysicist but got blown away by the higher math.

Moonbay then is simply a safe place, a haven, possible celestrial, where I find a hide-a-way, a peaceful place full of
comforting thoughts. Full-moon is simply the night being illuminated in a symbolic way such as to replace darkness
with light, ignorance with knowledge, hate with love, and so on. It's kind of my own thing - maybe I grew up a little too
much in the hippie era!

The Void: A Question of Balance

"Pink Lady" 1893 Photograph
The Void:
A Question of Balance:

Just something I used to draw
in my youth when I was
depressed
.
This 1893 tinted photograph is a favorite of mine that intrigues me. I call the photograph "Pink Lady." The photograph
was found in an old school near Ellsworth, Pennsylvania. I have no information as to who it is or who had taken the
photograph.

I've always been touched and drawn to the young  woman in the photograph as she stares out the window on  a moon
lit night, lost in thought........Somehow I see myself in an earlier time and I relate to the photo on a level that is difficult
to explain..
