Because I am woman, I must make unusual efforts to succeed. If I fail, no one will say, "She doesn't have what it takes." They will say, "Women don't have what it takes." - Clare Boothe Luce

UPDATE 2005: The HRC is now inclusive of Transgendered people and supports equal rights for all. I am now a member.
UPDATE 2007: The HRC (Human Rights Campaign) is once again no longer inclusive of Transgendered people. Please do not support this organization that claims equal rights for all in name only. I revoked my membership and WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN!!!!!. The names may have changed; Joe Solmonese has replaced Elizabeth Birch but the agenda has not: equal rights for gays and lesbians only (but contributions accepted from all). Even a conservative commentator stated the HRC abandoned and sold out the transgender and transsexual community concerning ENDA (Employment Non Discrimination Act) stating: "they're at the back of the bus on this civil rights issue."
